The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs defeated the Austin College Kangaroos 3-1 in Women’s soccer Friday in Sherman, Tx. It was the first game of SCAC Conference play for both teams.
Dr. Jack R. Pierce Memorial Complex was packed with fans. The fans watched the Bulldogs squeak out a victory in a game. The game was much closer than the score indicated.
TLU (3-3, 1-0) drew first blood when Aliyah Fonseca scored a goal with 34:43 remaining in the first half.
Austin College’s Vyla Gammer knotted the game up at 1 a piece with her Kangaroo goal with 17:51 remaining in the half.
The game was tied at 1-1 going into the half.

TLU scorted both goals in the second half. Callie Brame scored with 37:48 remaining in the game. Fonseca scored her second goal of the contest 7:55 left.
