Texas High School Celebrates Six Athletes Signing to Play at Next Level

TEXARKANA, Texas — Texarkana Independent School District officials are celebrating six student-athletes from Texas High School who signed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. The Celebration was held during a Spring Signing Day ceremony on April 15.

The event marked a significant milestone for the athletes, the athletes were joined by family members, coaches and teammates as they formalized their commitments to college programs.

The signing class represents multiple sports. Sports included were soccer, softball, swimming, football and baseball, highlighting the school’s broad athletic success.

The following student-athletes were recognized:

 

  • Daveon Webb-DeRamcy — Boys Soccer — Texas A&M University–Texarkana
  • Sydney Woods — Softball — Regis University
  • Lili LeFors — Swimming — Ouachita Baptist University
  • Roman Wyatt — Football — Texas A&M University–Texarkana
  • Coy Ward — Swimming — Centenary College of Louisiana
  • Zabre Turner — Baseball — Wiley College

 

District athletic leadership praised the group for their dedication, character and work ethic. TISD said that the athletes represent the values of Texas High both in competition and in the classroom.

Officials said the ceremony reflects years of preparation and underscores the district’s commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes prepared for success beyond high school.

Spring signing events are a tradition across the district, recognizing student-athletes as they take the next step in their academic and athletic journeys.
