SHERMAN, Texas (AP) — The City of Sherman has unveiled the lineup for its annual “Hot Summer Nights” free concert series, a long-running summer tradition now entering its 32nd year.
According to the city, the weekly concert series will begin Thursday, May 28, with rock band Eve 6 headlining opening night.
The schedule continues with a mix of rock, country, and regional favorites throughout June and July:
- June 4 — Great White
- June 11 — Corey Kent
- June 18 — Roger Creager
- June 25 — Sara Evans
- July 2 — Collective Soul
- July 9 — Headliner to be announced
- July 16 — Grupo Bryndis
City officials said the July 9 performer will be revealed on May 4.
The “Hot Summer Nights” series has become a staple community event in Sherman, drawing residents and visitors for free live music throughout the summer months.
Sherman is historical treasure
Sherman was founded in 1846 by the Grayson County commissioners.
Sherman, the county seat of Grayson County, was named after General Sidney Sherman, a hero of the Texas Revolution.
Additional event details, including times and location information, are expected to be released by the city closer to the start of the series.
