A man was killed after being hit by a train in Texarkana, Tx., the Texarkana Police Department said.
Saturday afternoon, a man died after being struck by a train while walking his dog on the railroad tracks near W. 5th and Lelia Streets in Texarkana, Tx., the Texarkana Police Department said. His identity has not yet been confirmed.
The Dog survived
“The dog was not injured and ran off after the incident”, Texarkana Police said.
Detectives and traffic investigators remained on the scene after the incident, working to determine exactly what happened, the Texarkana, Tx., police said.
“Our thoughts are with this man’s loved ones during this difficult time”, the Texarkana Police said.
