The Austin Kangaroos and the Dallas Christian Crusaders men’s soccer teams battled to a 2-2 tie Tuesday. The Jack Pierce Memorial Complex on the campus of Austin College in Sherman, Texas was the venue for the thrilling match.
The Crusaders (1-1-2) scored first on a goal off the leg of Kevin Jacinto. Jacinto scored 3:19 seconds in to the first half.
The Roos answered 4:35 into the first half when Richard Perez scored tying the game.
Luis Garza-Rios scored his third goal of the season
Austin College’s Luis Garza-Rios put the Kangaroos on top with a penalty kick goal. It was Garza-Rios’ team leading third goal of the season.
The Kangaroos led 2-2 at the half.
Dallas Christian scored the only goal of the second half when David Rivas found the back of the net.

The Kangaroos men’s soccer team (1-0-1) will host University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Saturday at 7 p.m. Saturday at 7 p.m.
