DENISON, Texas — The Denison Yellow Jackets return home Friday, Oct. 2, to face Frisco Independence in a District 4-5A Division II football matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The game gives Denison an opportunity to open October with a home victory before traveling to face Frisco on Oct. 9.
The Denison Yellow Jackets have had individual success
A key storyline will be whether the Yellow Jackets can turn individual successes into sustained momentum. Following defensive stops with productive offensive possessions and finishing scoring opportunities could help Denison take control.
Composure is another factor to watch. Responding to a penalty, turnover or stalled drive with a strong next possession could prevent a brief setback from becoming a difficult stretch.

For Independence, disrupting that consistency and capitalizing on its own opportunities could provide a path to a road victory.
