KRUM, Texas — Hopkins Road is expected to reopen on or before Aug. 9 as construction continues ahead of the upcoming school year, according to the City of Krum.
The city said construction is progressing on schedule, with the roadway expected to reopen by Sunday, Aug. 9.

According to the city, the project will provide a safer, wider roadway and improve traffic flow for residents.
City officials thanked residents for their patience and understanding throughout the construction project.
The city said additional updates will be provided if the schedule changes.
