Pleasant Grove Hawks High School Athletic Director and head football coach Josh Gibson told Texas News Sports he was leaving the school to pursue a new career. Coach Gibson is ending an Epic career at PGISD in Texarkana, Tx., where he helped make the school’s athletic program a benchmark in the state.
Coach Gibson said he is leaving and beginning a new position with Symmetry Construction. Gibson said that he will be a sales and marketing manager with Symmetry.
Josh Gibson will be working with great Christian men
” I will get to visit with coaches daily and work for some great Christian men,” Josh Gibson said. ” I’ll also get paid a ton better and get more time to invest in my family and close friends.”
Coach Gibson said he is at a point where he enjoys being around coaches as much as the kids.
“I want to connect with area coaches, visit with them and if they want to use our company later, that’s icing,” Gibson said, “I think the ministry will be fun and a new challenge to continue to evolve.”
While at Pleasant Grove ad Head Coach; Josh Gibson led his Hawks football team to 2 State Championships, & 6 District Titles.
